Big Rock Moments

The Journey to New Discoveries Word

One morning Pastor John had a meeting with us MIXchangers, and he brought the word to us that the Father has given him: “ A journey to new discoveries”. That really stuck with me because there is so much in that sentence. We are on a journey with God. He is bringing light to more and more subjects and the journey is never going to end. It is eternal. I like to think of it like we are on an adventure with God every day. Discovering new things and new ways on our way to deepening our relationship with the Father. It really changes your way of thinking about a lot of things, and I for one am so grateful to make that choice to change.

Marker Message Moment
Journey To New Discoveries Part 9

There are so many points that made me really think about what areas I can grow and change in. For example :

  • What is your choking point?
  • Don’t let there be a cover over your light.
  • Launch out into the deep, (Press more than you ever have before)
  • We are created to live our lives on a much higher level.

…and here are much more points than that.

It’s so amazing for me to receive this knowledge and to be able to apply this to my life and change.

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” Hosea 4:6
Life is a journey to new discoveries that is never-ending.

Proverbs 19

On January 19th, 2023 we discussed Proverbs 19 and what stood out to us with the help of the Holy Spirit. I read it in the passion translation (TPT), and one of the verses that stood out to me was 20, saying: ” Listen well to wise counsel and be willing to learn from correction so that by the end of your life you’ll be known for your wisdom.” This ties in well with verse 27 which says: “ So listen, my child, Don’t reject correction or you will certainly wander from the ways of truth.”
This stood out to me because the Bible is full of instruction and correction. I see it as a huge privilege that I get to listen and apply that to my life. With that, I will grow in wisdom and not wander from the ways of truth, which is better than being wise in my own eyes and actually wandering away from what is true and upright. Proverbs 19 is full of verses that say/help so much, but that is what ministered to me at that moment.

Highest Level Conference

  1. What stood out to me:

The first word that stood out to me was that you have to be disciplined and  consistent to get to the highest level. Everyone knows that you have to be disciplined and have to be consistent with physical exercise, Spiritual exercise is the same thing. Learning God’s ways by reading the Word of God and applying it to our live is exercising spiritually. A big thing is to start at a low level. Like physical exercise you have to start at a low level to get strong enough to go to a higher level, otherwise you will fail and start doubting if this is even for you, but you just moved to a higher level faster then what you should have. Don’t get lazy, put in the hard work moving through the levels and soon enough you will be a champion for Christ. Not by performance, just faith. Winning every battle and never looking back, because looking back is how you will stumble in your race.

The second one ties into the first one; Set the goal, stay focused, and never give up. These three steps are really important to stay on track, otherwise you get side tracked easily, and lose focus on what is important

2. The revelation that the Father gave me:

On the 5th of February, Br Jerry talked about Dominion and Authority, Blessing, and Seed. In that moment God gave me a deeper understanding on how I can take authority over my life, thoughts, emotions. It’s a lot easier to apply to my life now then it was, because performance was taken out of the situation. I know for a fact that the highest level conference changed me, and I’ll never be the same again.

3. Being a cameraman:

Working with the Tech team was an amazing experience for me. I had worked with them one and a half weeks before the Highest level conference for the preparation and it was so fun to work with them and learn the things I did, and when they asked me if I was willing to help while Br Jerry was here I was so excited. Then the experience was even better than what I expected. I love the fact that I could serve, participate, and be a witness to what happened.

Proverb 2

On the second of March, we had a staff meeting and read Proverb 2. I had an awesome partner called Nicola. We read the Proverb in TPT, AMP, and MSG. The Proverb is full of amazing verses it was difficult to just speak about a few.

The Passion translation really stood out to me especially verse 2. The first part says to train your heart to listen when God speaks and open your spirit to expand your discernment, and that tied into what Ps Gath talked about before we read the Proverb. He said to train your spirit. To grow your spirit so that your soul, emotions, feelings, etc., won’t be in control.

Secondly was verse 6-8 saying wisdom is a gift from God and every word He speaks is full of revelation and that becomes a fountain of understanding within you. The Lord has a storehouse full of wisdom that is accessible to His godly ones. It really gives you another perspective when thinking of the message we receive on Sunday and every session we have. We can just ask for wisdom from the Lord and He will help us through various ways yet we tend to try to resolve it on our own. Having a daily Proverb helps a lot. It relieves the pressure of needing to read a whole

book of the Bible a day. It is really not about performance and there is a lot of wisdom to apply to your day.

Session with Ps Sharon about Following Gods’ Plan For Your Life

3rd of March session with Pastor Sharon was full of highlights. It really was exactly what we needed in that moment. Pastor Sheron reminded us why we are here and that it is our choice that we made to seek and follow God’s plan for our lives and not our own. She also said not to loose focus of that reason, because that is how we stay on true north.

An important point Pastor Sheron also said was that we need to recognize how important the local church is and the people in the church. To grow spiritually in the church that the Father called you to and grow with the people is something that you can’t have on your own.

Prayer And Praise Intensive Weekend

What stood out to me from the Prayer and Praise Intensive weekend was that I could be a witness to a lot of things that were so amazing.  I was working with the camera most of the time so just being there and being a witness to people’s experiences was a awesome thing for me.  And the new songs that have been released Heritage Worship (Live) and Intertwined is so amazing. They just minister to you an a higher level.  We are really experiencing the maximum.

The sessions in itself were extremely powerful and full of revelation knowledge. A standard that is your choice to receive and walk in. I praise the Lord for this revelation that came to us and I can just receive it. Not by anything that I did right, but by the grace of God.

Fellowship with my blood-bought family was so magnificent. I am so blessed to have these people in my life. To share things and to learn from each other because we recognize Holy Spirit in each other and the gifts each one has.

Money With A Mission Weekend

  • A highlight of the weekend for me was Sunday morning when Pastor John spoke about empty hours and how God can redeem empty hours. The whole weekend actually just ministered to me on how we should trust in God, have faith in God. Spend time with Him finding out what the mission is and not what you think the mission is. And the other highlight was that the capacity and power lies in the Word, not in you and not in your confession. You just have to confess the Word of God so that you don’t  speak against the Word. We should be imitators of God, therefore we should speak like Him.

  • My mindset about money changed when Nikkie and Eric spoke about mixing love when you handle tithing and other money matters. Focusing more on people and not working to earn money to live from. Invest in the body of Christ. It is more blessed to give than to receive. What you spend your time, energy, and money on will reveal what you think the mission is.
