Top Two Skills That I’ve Learned By Mixchange So Far
- I did not really like teamwork so I would usually work on my own. Now I work can work
with other people and I actually enjoy the fellowship we have while working.
- I am really grateful to can work better with noise. Where I would find a quiet space to
finish my work I can now concentrate on my work more and finish where I am even if
there is noise
Growing Capacity
- Where my capacity is growing at the moment is dealing with people while I have a lot of work.
- What is stretching me the most at the moment is the timelines we have to get the work done and not having a quiet environment to do the work. I know I can handle the workload, but it feels like I’m just rushing through the work. I want to do it with a standard of excellence not just get the work done.
- How I’m handling it at this stage is by doing the work and then going through it and putting more effort into it when there is time. Learning how to prioritize day by day. Asking the Holy Spirit for help. Putting my head down and working when there is a quiet moment.
New Skills I Am Excited About
- I learned how to design a website with some help from people that know what they are doing . I am excited for the skill and want to improve in it. There is just something about knowing almost all the factors and seeing them come together like a website .
- We had a class about video editing a while back and that was so interesting to me to learn that skill and am still learning. There are so many ways to edit a video that I never knew of or just did not think about. Now every time I watch on youtube I think of how they could have edited the video before they posted it. I still have a lot to learn about editing and how to edit for what platform, but I appreciate that I can learn the skill and the people who are helping me through the journey.
- I’ve learned how to properly do cable management. This helps me immensely because I was always that person that did not like cables that look like spaghetti and eventually just push it behind a desk or couch and pray I never had to deal with it again. Now I can deal with the “spaghetti” by making it look decent and know what is going on.
- I learned how to plan routes for road trips and how to pack for them on a new level. which I am so excited about because I love going on adventures, but it was always a struggle in the past to be well organized, especially with so many people going on the trip.
- I’m learning more about how cameras work and how to take proper videos for each platform while thinking of what people would like to watch and what not. Working with a camera in different conditions is such a great experience for me because then I can plan more accurately when I need to film in different locations or times of the day.
